[CTRL] A makes Alias from command line. |
[CTRL] A in Windows environ generally means select all, and in most places in CMUD(I'm using 2.18) this is true as well.
In the command line however it seems to be a shortcut to create an alias with everything in the command line.
I wonder if this could be changed so that [CTRL] A behaves in the command line the same way it does everywhere else.
Maybe change the create alias keyboard shortcut to [CTRL][ALT] A. |

I'd love this change too, it constantly gets on my nerves when it tries to make an alias.

I concur.
In the meantime: Home, Shift+End. Unless you're using multiple lines, but most of the time you're not, thankfully. |

If you're using multiple lines you can Ctrl-Home, Crtl-Shift-End

I'll take a look at this. Some people might be used to this shortcut from zMUD, but I agree it's annoying too.

I really really really would love this to be changed. I just do shift + home, but my fingers naturally want to do ctrl+a, I think ctrl+x is also set to something else, which is also frustrating.

CTRL-X performs a Cut operation, which is the normal Windows default, so that is fine.

It does... hmm, I wonder why I kept avoiding it. |
