Mapper function

IS there a function in the mapper to take certain strings and use them for certain information. Like, type a direction and it says "alas, you cannot go this way" to know that I haven't moved. What happens now is it thinks I made the movement and screws up so I have to reset my position every time. There were some other things too, but I cannot recall them now.

Well that worked, but now... oddly, setting my position in one room and then going over to a new map doesn't start the new map and connect it, instead it just goes back to the other map and adds to it. :/

Not sure what you mean by "going over to a new map". Are you talking about different zones with a cmud portal between them?

Make the new room, then move that room to the new zone. Then you can continue mapping the new zone.
