How to remove a button that isn't really there?

I have somehow managed to create a push button that shows on my main window, next to my other buttons, but it's blank and when i click on buttons to edit, it's not there, i've looked everywhere, it's like a phantom button. I think the problem is I went to create a button, and never finished it, then closed out or something...how the heck do I remove it?

ignore....somehow it got fixed this time around by closing program and re-opening, although had done that many times before. Oh well.
