[2.22] Lines missing in display until clicked |
If this was reported previously, I couldn't find it...
Every now and then, at seemingly random intervals, I lose a couple lines of text coming from the MUD. I thought I might have something odd in my settings gagging the text, except that it didn't always gag the lines and when I click anywhere in the output window, the lines magically re-appear. |

I've seen this as well Larkin. I thought it was just something with my system, but now that you are seeing it as well, it might be something buggy with Cmud.

This is going to be a very hard one to track down. Especially if you are running any sort of scripts that gag or substitute text on the line.
Clicking on the screen causes CMUD to fully refresh/repaint the entire screen. Normally when scrolling, only the portion of text that needs to be scrolled/updated is painted. So if something causes the scrolling optimization to get out of sync, then this problem can happen. It happened in zMUD too. The difference is that zMUD had a "kludge timer" that would repaint the full screen now and then to make sure everything was displayed. But this timer could cause problems with gagged lines showing up for an instance (flickering), and when the gag routine was improved in CMUD, this timer was removed.
But unless you can come up with some way to reproduce this, I'm not sure what I can do. |
