Primary Window?

MY connection Window is my Primary Window. However, whenever I minimize CMUD, it does it's hardest to keep my other two windows to the same size, shrinking my primary window. This is annoying, is there any way I can have it automatically shrink (or even get rid of them) when I minimize?

I think the reason you didn't get a response is because we have no idea what you're on about. You need to establish clearly what you're doing, what you expect to happen, and what actually happens, and why it's in error. You haven't really done any of that - things you might want to mention could be the way you have your windows set up (docked, undocked, tabbed?), whether they're part of the same session, etc etc.

All the windows are part of the same session, one is for the mapper, one is for my tells, the primary window is the one for the actual connection, where I input all of my commands, etc... when I reduce the size from full screen, it decides to shrink the primary window instead of the window for tells and the mapper. They're all docked. The window for tells is docked to the right of the primary window, the mapper is docked in relation to the tells window, to the bottom.

Stab in the dark here.
Click on Layout on the main menu.
Make sure show caption is checked.
Then right click on the title bar for the main window (if you toggle show caption its the part that disappears and reappears).
Then choose Align and choose Left.

It seems whatever has the Client alignment in a particular frame fills what the top, left, right, bottom alignments leaves.

That did it. Seems counter intuitive though. Wouldn't I place the subwindows in relation to the main one? Not the other way around... ?

OK, I think I understand this then.

I THINK that this is by design and here is why I think that.

In my Achaea session I have five windows, not counting the mapper which isn't docked, that I have open and docked at all times.

One of the windows is there ONLY for my right hand button interface.
There are buttons in it that control parts of my Altered Acropolis package.
I do NOT want this window to be resized when I change the size of my display because if it were then the buttons would go off screen, or mess up their order.
So this isn't changed.

Then I have three channel display windows, one for my city channel, one for my guild and clan channels, and one for emotes, speaking, and shouting.
I keep these windows to a minimum size where they are readable and where several people speaking at once won't cause me to miss something.
Because this is the optimum size for these windows again, I do not want them to be changed.
And amazingly they are not.

Finally we come to my main session.
This is my main window and I often find myself having to read large buffers of text here.
Not surprisingly I want it to be the largest window of the lot of them and, because it is the largest one
it is the one that I don't mind if it is sometimes a little smaller.

Now if I decided to alter my mode of play I can always manually change the sizes of all of the windows to accommodate the smaller or larger size.
This doesn't sound unreasonable to me.

If you just want the windows to be closed you can use '#close windowname' to close each one, perhaps create an alias and place multiple close commands within it.
To open windows you can just use '#window windowname'. But when they open they will be incredibly small and need resizing.
The #makeW command is useless for trying to resize a currently existing window so that will have to be done manually I'm afraid.
