Zmud not working |
Hello
For some reason Zmud is not working correctly.
When it first loaded, I had a whole list of Muds. When I click on Achaea, instead the software started imperian and gave me the name of Akanbar.
I restarted Zmud and now I can't find Achaea anywhere.I tried to redownload the Muds from mudconnect, but nothing.
And I am also getting a "locked database"
Any ideas? |

Try renaming the chardb.mdb file in the main directory. ZMud should recreate this file automatically, but if not you'll still have the broken one.
Or you could uninstall, delete leftover files, and then reinstall. |

Rename it to anything you want, so long as you can remember it. Try chardbz.mdb. If it works, just delete the file later, if it doesn't, then you can delete the newly created chardb.mdb file and rename the old one back.

Ok
I think I found why it wasn't working.
For some reason, Zmud is being blocked by the Comodo Anti-virus.
How do I know that?Well, the past few weeks,I had Comodo anti-virus and it wasn't working.
Yesterday I switched to Avast and now Zmud is working. |

See how important details are? In this particular case, had we known what your AV was we could have quickly told you there was a conflict. That's not necessarily going to be the case every time, so it'll get really nerve-wracking trying to figure out that it was your, say, nifty word processor causing all the problems.
