[3.03a] Door vs Other Com |
If a special syntax is specified to use a given exit with a door (locked or otherwise) shouldn't it bypass the standard means for those exit types?
Currently it sends both the door commands as well as the special exit commands. |

You mean it's sending like
open door Special
Special
?? In the Strings and Doors tab of the Map preferences, there's a tickbox "only send door commands, do not send door direction", which will do what you want (but on a global basis). |

I dont want to stop them, as in most circumstances it works fine.
Its just when i have both filled in that it does this.
It seems to check for the door first, the sends the 'open $doorname $dir'
Then it sees that i have a special command defined and imputs that as well.
I have had to turn off the fact that the exit is also a door to keep it from sending both sets of commands. |

The thing is, some people have directions with special names that use the normal door commands. Like I use "in" and "out" as Other exit types, but if there's a door I need to "unlock door in;open door in;in" just like if it was east or north or whatever.
But anyway, you should be able to set weird door types with ZMapper (or when it comes out CMapper). Since you're using Pro, that should be not an issue, eventually. |

Well in some examples the way in is via
enter tent
yet to leave its
open flap e;e
I have yet to see it where you can have a door on one side and a special exit on the other
it tries to open the flap on the outside as well even though there is no flap there |

Oh. Just make it two one-way exits?

I could do that in that particular scenario, but that still does not address the original issue.

But what you are describing acts like a door only one way. So I wouldn't mark it as a door, I'd mark it as a special both ways.
