[2.21] Exporting then importing still a bit rough. |
I decided to re-export/import to clean out my package again. I had a growing fear I had a bit of corruption in there. I exported the entire package then imported it as one file this time (since this was reported fixed). Here's a few of the things I noted:
1) It still duplicated the top level name like it was doing before. So I had a populated top level and a non-populated top level. This time I was able to delete the empty one without it crashing the program. However, when I closed the session then re-entered I had a window for each of the top levels even though I had deleted the empty one in the setting editor. When I went to delete the extra window it gave an error. I was able to continue without the program crashing despite the error.
2) With auto-save layout selected and locked layout de-selected it kept reverting back to the old layout. I finally had to de-select auto-save and manually save it before it stuck. Sometimes I'd set it all up and it'd remember some of what I did. I had to re-setup the layout about 5 times before I was able to get it to stick around the way I wanted it. |

Please email me the full *.XML file that you are trying to import as a file attachment to sales@zuggsoft.com so that I can try it here.

I received the file, thanks. I'll try to take a look at it this week.

One other thing I just remembered:
- After erasing the package, then importing, going into the preferences you cannot reposition the Buttons in "User Interface" -> "Buttons" until after you've clicked "Settings" to open the settings editor. After you've opened the Settings editor you can move them around successfully. |

In fact, I think a number of items won't stick until you open the session for the first time. I just realized that the layout wasn't sticking for the same reason. I hadn't opened the session for the first time.
