I opened up a text file in the editor, and despite all of the lines having hard returns, it sent it as one big block of text. The send line by line option was turned on so I dont know how to get it to replicate what I did in simpleMU

Wow, thanks for sharing.
Was there a question related to this? If you meant to ask a question, then you have to actually ask it for us to be able to answer it. While many of us are very talented, I do not believe any of us have the talent for mind reading. Please try again.
Do you mean to make a bug report? If you are aiming at reporting a bug then we would need a lot more details. You alluded to have done programming before in another topic, so I am sure you can understand just how difficult some bugs can be to track down. I don't think you were trying for a bug report, but if you were...Please try again. |

Heh, a rather long winded post to make a simple point. Sorry, yes, the question.
I was told that it would send the text line by line, but this does not seem to be the case. Or, at least it didn't send it the way SimpleMU did which is what worked for me. Is there a setting or option to make it do that? Selecting send line by line didn't do anything... |

I created a quick test file by opening the editor and typing some commands like look and score on separate lines. When I clicked Send on the File menu, they were sent to the MUD and each command was executed, so I looked, I scored, I danced, and so on. Is that not what you were expecting to happen? Please be more specific about exactly what you're expecting to happen and what actually happens instead.

I've been as specific as I can. It sends it all as one block of text, as if I had just copies and pasted the stuff into the command line. Thus, it ends up exceeding the game's buffer limit and disconnects me. When simpleMU did it, it literally sent it line by line. It took a bit longer but never came close to the buffer limit. That's what I'm looking for. I don't know how to describe it better, to be honest, if I enter it into the text editor for CMUD, I send it and it sends all of the individual lines at once. That's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for each line to be sent one after another as if I had copied, pasted, and entered each line into the command bar.

Oh. Now we actually know what the problem is. In the Preferences for your session, under the Scripting section, General Scripting; there is a box "Delay between sending lines". Adjust this number to whatever you need to cause a proper delay, 1000 means a full second.

Oh, alright. simpleMU had one too, but I never had to use it because by default it was sort of slowish, but maybe that's it. Thank you.
