[2.20] Flashing trigger patterns |
If i leave the setting editor open with a bunch of Named triggers displayed in the tree(on my 2nd monitor), while manually walking around with the map in follow mode... each time i take a step the patterns of the named triggers will briefly disappear and reappear. The name is still displayed.

This is related to the recentering bug: http://forums.zuggsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=30027
Or rather it is one of the several symptoms I notice relating to it. I noticed it almost immediately since I have an alarm going off every 2.5 seconds which triggers this in the same way your walking around is triggering it to happen. Other symptoms include snapping the view to what is currently highlighted, inability to highlight more than one item, and weird jumping around to random classes when dragging and dropping triggers/variables. Yet another symptom of this is that like you I see the trigger text for the named triggers blink in and out. Since I have the trigger going I see it at a 2.5s interval. When I have a lot of them up at the same time it's like looking at Christmas lights blinking on and off. I hadn't specifically mentioned this symptom because I imagined it would be cleared up when the root cause is fixed. |

When you are moving around with the mapper, the mapper is creating and then deleting a trigger for each new room that you enter. The Settings Editor is immediately refreshed when a setting is deleted, so that is going to cause some flickering and slowdown when moving on the mapper with the settings editor open.
But ReedN is correct that this is on the bug list and something that I'm looking into. |
