Question about Automapper.

Hello. I am new to Zmud and I am trying to use the automap feature of the client. I think I am doing pretty well mapping the areas untill i reach to a point that there is for example a door (or portal)leading outside to a different area. How do i let Automapper know about this? What I want to do is Map a whole Area with different sectors like puzzle piecies put close one to another but not entirely attached to one another . Probably a Stair (up or down) or a portal in between the sectors or just door leading to an outside area that needs to be separetly treated but still be part of the whole map If you know what i mean. Can somebody tell me or just give me the right link to look it up? Thanks

You can create new zones and change the current zone by pressing Ctrl+Z. You create a new zone by mapping the first room in the new zone, pressing Ctrl+Z and then clicking the new button, then double-clicking the zone in the list. That'll send the room to a separate zone, and it should hopefully be obvious how that works.

You also, I think, mention custom exits at one point - you define these (like an exit that's "go up stairs" or "enter portal") by creating a link manually with the toolbar button, rclicking on the room, pressing Properties, selecting the right link on the exits tab, and filling in the "other com" with whatever command you want, including aliases. If the link you made led west, with a command of "other com", when you press 4 on the numpad, whatever you enter in the "other com" will be sent instead of "west".
