Perhaps I am misunderstanding your question. Are you talking about speed walking? There is no step delay at all in speed walking in Fast and Safe modes, and in Slow mode the delay is determined by how fast cmud identifies the room. What is it you want to do?

There's an option to delay when a walk command is sent, and you could try the %pref function to change it, but no guarantees.

That must be the preference setting labeled "Delay between sending lines". So that would put in a delay between ALL lines sent by the client to the mud. I guess with %pref you could turn that on and off while doing speed walks. Very interesting!
