Command Line |
I noticed when I connect to a MUD, I have to click in the command line area before the cursor is active. Is there a way to change this behavior? Also, when you have tabs open, there is not an option to "Close" the tab so I will by mistake close the program with the button in the top right corner of the screen and then I have to open the client back up.

Check to see if you have multiple windows defined (go to the Settings and look for global window objects). Make sure that only your main window is marked with the "Use Session Connection" option. By default, CMUD gives the command line focus to whatever the last window that has the Use Session Connection option selected.
Otherwise you'll need to explain more about your specific situation. The command line focuses when I connect to my MUD just fine here. Also, if you ever lose the command line focus (like you opened the editor or mapper or something), just clicking anywhere in the MUD output window itself will focus the command line.
If this isn't working, then the window/toolbar layout might be corrupted for your session. You can fix this by holding down the SHIFT key when you connect to your session or open it offline. This will cause CMUD to create a new layout file. Sometimes this can fix a command line that has become disconnected from it's MUD window.
To close a tab, right-click on the tab and select the Hide option. I do not plan to add any X box to close tabs since many people get confused between that and the main application X. You should always remember that the X in the upper-right corner of *any* application will *always* close that entire application and not just the tab. |

The command line focuses when you connect to a MUD. That is not an issue, so let me try to explain what is happening. When I double the shortcut on my desktop, CMUD will connect to the session and the command line will lose focus and the way that I can bring focus back is to click in the command line area.
I checked if multiple windows were defined and the main window is marked with the "Use Session Connection" option. The reason I need a shortcut is so that I can connect to the MUD automatically, unless there is an option in CMUD to do this already.
Thanks for the help. |

I'll test this with using the desktop shortcuts and see if I can reproduce the problem.
Does clicking on the MUD output window give focus to the command line, or do you need to actually click on the command line itself? |
