[2.18] Implicit concat problem |
I have a number of buttons using this type of concat in thier captions, it causes some very nasty problems loading with this bug.
Procedure
1. Launch CMud
2. Close Sessions window (ESC)
3. Enter at the command line
| Code: |
| #TEST {%if(@b,,)@a(1)} |
4. Examine the compile report and you will see there is no problem, click OK when done
5. Enter at the command line
| Code: |
| #TEST {@a(1)%if(@b,,)} |
Again the compile report looks fine.
6. Click OK on the report and the error will be echoed in the window. |

I'm just curious, but why do you use %if with empty arguments for both the second and third arguments? It seems that you're doing absolutely nothing with the function there, as both true and false conditions give a null value.

Actually getting null returns is the entire point. It is something I use in buttons and status bars to eat an update variable. The change in the variable forces an update of the caption, and the %if causes nothing to be displayed.

Bumping this for 2.20. I am still seeing the problem with the null parameters in %if described above.
