Window configuration |
Is it possible to configure zMud to give a main window and two other tabbed windows side by side above it?
I have managed to produce the three windows - but can't seem to find a way to put the tabbed ones side by side, the windows will only go one above the other.
I would like :-
A B
Main
But can only get
A
B
Main
Can it be done? |

Yes... take click and hold the title bar (where the name shows) for window B and drag over window A. You should see zMUD offer different docking options. The one you want is where the window outline is in Window A.
I hope that helps. |

Thanks for reply - I have tried what you sugested, but when the window B outline is in window A, and I release it, they are combined into one upper window with tabs - which is not what I would like.
I am trying to have a layout containing 3 panes , the top 2 panes each having their own set of tabs....is this possible? |

Ahhh... ok.
The idea is the same but instead you drag window B over to the right of window A until the outline is on the right of Window A. That will do what you want. Experiment with it and you'll see you have a lot of window layout options.
CMUD the next generation MUD has even more layout options and flexibility. |

Hehe - I think we are getting to the root of the problem now.... Window A is already occupying the full width - and i can't seem to change that, so I can't drag window B to the right of it - please forgive my ignorance.... I'm still stuck

You can... just keep moving window B over to the right until you get the outline on the right. You may need to undock Window B again. Like I said experiment with different layouts and you will get a better idea of what you can do. Keep dragging them around.

Woo woo - thanks for your patience, I hadn't appreciated that the outline box had changed shape as I moved it further right - that worked a treat.
Thanks Tech |
