[2.05] Occasional visual problem in Settings |
I first reported this issue in 2.03 version, I didnt get it in 2.04, but now I've seen it again in 2.05, so I thought I'd post about it again. I'm not really sure how to get it to occur, it just simply happens sometimes after making some new variables, as far as I can tell. I will try to get some screenshots next time it occurs.
Issue is, when in settings window, usually after making a new variable but not always, when the cursor moves over the variables trying to click on them, they appear to duplicate the previous one onto the one where the cursor is pointing to. Closing and reopening the setting window solves the problem, so it isnt affecting any of the data as such, just the visuals.

Yeah, this has been a really nasty bug to track down. It seems to depend upon what might be running in the background (when connected to the MUD) exactly when you click. I haven't been able to reproduce this problem...it's a real pain to make it happen on demand.
And, as you said, it doesn't corrupt any data...just changes the visuals. Using View/Refresh menu in settings editor also fixes the display. |

It doesn't require being online or having the background updating of the Package Editor on. Also as far as could tell it doesn't even require any scripts to be activated.
I still can't come up with a procedure to replicate it consistently though. |

I've see this once in 2.05, though I can't remember what I did that time. Either I deleted some settings within a class, either I try to change triggers priorities manually... The bug is there, but simple close/open of Editor will fix the tree view and this bug rare enough to live with it. Until you'll be able to reproduce it somehow.
