Another access violation error |
Code: |
Access violation at address 0054A238 in module 'zMUD.exe'. Read address of 00000000. |
I am using XP SP2, zMUD 7.21 (just installed), and I am the administrator. I find that I get that error whenever I try to save a change to an objects settings. Then it kinda does this weird drag lock thing, and holds the 'icon', unless I do a right click off the screen. I get another weird Access violation randomly, but haven't been able to repeat that on a regular basis. I hope this helps, cuz its kinda annoying.... *tear* TIA! |

It's hard to say with things like this but more often than not settings have become corrupted. Follow these steps to try to correct the settings file.

Actually..... I gave up yesterday, and shut the computer down (not cuz the Misses TOLD me to or anything... LoL!) But, today when I tried again, no errors. Do you think that there might'a been a loose end that was still not properly installed, and the reboot flushed it out? *shrug* Eitherway, I should'a done 'intro to computer repair 101' and just rebooted after install! DOH!

i get this 2-3 times per week, xp sp2,zmud 7.21.
What ive done to solve it is to have your saved mud files in a diffrent directory (called mine zmudprofiles).
Then whenever zmud mess up i just reinstall zmud to lets say i used zmud as directory next time i used zmud1 and so on.
only thing that takes time is to create the session. |
