[2.02] Multi-Monitor |
When right clicking on the title bar, there is no 'Move to monitor %d' option. You have to physically drag it over to the other monitor.

That's true. Not sure where you've seen the "Move to monitor" option, but that isn't a standard Windows function at all, at least not in Windows XP. In fact, I've never seen any programs that have that option. I always just drag the window where I want it.

On most programs it was an option when I used two monitors, might've been the nvidia app (nview?) that did it.
I've noticed though that CMUD windows don't seem to behave like other apps though. Maybe it's the same thing that stops CMUD window borders going translucent in Vista - in that Windows XP, Vista etc don't see it as a normal window so don't give you the same options... |

It is definitely nview doing this. For me neither zMUD or CMUD get the option but they're not the only programs that don't I notice others that don't get the option too.

This is usually an option with nView and/or multimon software. :)

CMUD isn't going to get these options because it uses it's own theming/skinning system, so those 3rd party programs don't know how to add an item to the system menu for CMUD.

imho, the lack of the standard Windows theme (not just the look, but the feel) is one of the things I don't like about CMUD.
For handling multiple windows within a mainly text oriented app then something like Eclipse looks so nice to me. Personally, I'd far prefer it to behave like other apps if I want things to look different use a separate skinning app or pick a different Windows theme. I know that CMUD lets you pick the various themes, but they don't feel silky smooth yet.
Just my opinion (and still a big fan otherwise) no idea what others think. |

I know what you mean, Guinn. I use UltraMon to add extra features to my multi-monitor setup, and one of the the things I use is a "move to other monitor" button that's added to the left of the minimise button. In CMUD, though, it's created underneath the close program button instead. I'd assume that the problem is with CMUD's theme engine since that sort of thing is otherwise common to every program.

I know there's a 'No Theme' theme in CMUD. If the 'No theme' could just disable the CMUD theming that'd be perfect. I'm sure it's far easier said than done though, but would be something I'd love to put on the wishlist if at all possible.
