I have actually noticed this in all CMUD versions so far, and it's always annoyed me very much.
Sometimes when I use the search function in the settings editor, by pressing CTRL+F, and then type whatever I search for, the marker jumps away from search field, and into whatever pops up. It can be var/alias name, trigger pattern, variable content... and emediatelly starts replacing whatever was there, with what I am supposed to type into the search field. This has messed up all kinds of settings for me.

I don't know if it's a bug or what it is, but could something be done about it please?

Are you connected to the MUD when this happens? In other words, do you have triggers and stuff running in the background at the same time you are searching?

Yes, I just managed to reproduce it simply by typing the name of a variable quickly, and the marker automatically went into a variable key name field.
