[2.01] URGENT buffer error on startup

Seems to hit at the same time as the previous invalid path bug that caused an updated 2.01 to appear, all I get is the splash screen for a few seconds (at the Loading... step) and then an AV appears with the message of "Buffer error."

Click the Show Bug Report button and post the results here. That might help me determine the problem. But I don't see other people getting this, and "Buffer error" isn't any one of my error messages, so I have no idea what it is. Did you do a fresh install after getting the problem with the first download?

AV=Antivirus? If that's what you meant, it sounds like it's that that has the problem.

AV in this context usually means Access Violation.

I figured I didn't need the fresh install since I had removed everything CMud when updating to 2.00. At any rate, fresh install procedure doesn't seem to change anything resultwise.

OK, when you did a fresh install, did you remove your previous files? It looks like there is a corrupted sessions.db and sessionkeys.db file left over from the first crash that you had with the muds.db problem. Try deleting the sessions.db and sessionkeys.db files and then run CMUD again.
