i recently started playing a new mud but ive been having problems getting the windows to show properly. so i created one character session, copied it, edited the username and password in the session settings, i try to load it, but it doesnt show the window (or really.. do anything it seems)... after a few tries i closed down cmud, created two new sessions but the window layouts were crazy. the first was in the normal place but the second was tiny and hidden under it and basically was like a status window instead of a normal window. i couldnt get the thing to snap on properly or resize, then it crashed again. what happened to automatic tabbed layout and stuff that was in the previous version(s)?

Check to make sure the new, copied session has package files listed. If you click Edit Session and then look on the Package Files tab, there should at least be values for Filename and Layout - hopefully English Directions and English Keypad will also be listed.

If this isn't the case, you should create a new session instead of copying the old one, or you can create copies of the files from the session you copied and point the new session to them.

About your new session "crazy layout" problem, it'd help if I could see a screenshot and know exactly how you created the sessions, step by step. You can try creating a new layout for the session - hold down Shift and open the session offline.

Finally, you say "crashed again" but don't actually talk about crashing before that. When else did CMUD crash?

what im doing currently:
1. load up cmud
2. double click on a session for my mud
3. press the sessions button and double click on another session for the same mud.
my first window is there.. but my second never appears. it never loads, it never shows.

i tried 2 ways of creating my characters.
1. i made one - filled in ip, port, character name, password, etc. copy paste, edit the name/password.
2. make one at a time, fill in both manually. still the same. i only ever get one window per mud.

basically i cant multiplay anymore at all. im stuck with 1 window. sometimes it loads up a tiny status size window behind the bigger one then it crashes when i try to resize/move it.

and this was all done on the latest version of cmud.. totally fresh install.
