Map.... |
I know this has probably been answered already and what not, but will zmud maps be compatible with running on cmud? I'm waiting to buy cmud because all I really need it for is the mapper since zmud's is kind of buggy I guess , I don't know, seems like it is anyways.

yep, maps are compatible. I have a 6000 room map that I've imported into cmud although some of the features are disabled pending a rewrite.

Cmud has the same mapper as zmud so yes your maps will work but it is possible that zmud mapper errors are still in cmud since the mapper for cmud has not been re-written yet.

Er, what I meant to say is, when it is rewritten will the maps still be compatible?

The mapper is a major part of zmud/cmud so I am 99.9999999999% sure that cmud will be able to convert your existing maps to the new format

Yes, the new mapper will be compatible. There will be a converter program (like zsconvert) that will convert the *.MDB maps into the new SQLite database format once the mapper is rewritten. I'd be crazy if I didn't make the maps compatible.
