I don't even know what to call this

Playing ( www.awakenedworlds.net ) on 7.21.

Anytime I open a description editor or any kind of editor on the game, zMUD folds that part (the customization menu) up over about 500 lines of text, deleting what was there previously. Like if you were to highlight text you'd written, and hit any key.

It's frustrating, and I know freeware zMUD didn't do this. Help!

Can you be more specific? I'm having trouble understanding what you mean. What do you mean by customization menu?

Do you notice this behavior on other MUDs? Where is the 500 lines of text coming from? Basically we'd need more information to better understand the problem. There are no problems with the zMUD editor that I'm aware of.

This sounds like it is an in game feature. Not the Zmud editor. Like the game sends a lot of weird control codes and it causes Zmud to eat 500 lines from the scroll back buffer.

Like:

You see blah blah blah.
Prompt.
Prompt.
description.
Prompt.
Prompt. (etc..)

Then when I enter this menu (think an OLC editor menu) it wipes out the last 500 lines. I asked the administrator of the MUD, and he said he uses a clear..function. Or something. I can't remember now. >.<
