general settings management - hiding tabs

Once again I am trying to change to CMUD. Hopefully this wont be failure number 3245245234 :(
I'm going to have a fair few silly little questions. I understand the scripting changes, I'm starting from scratch (not trying to import from zmud). The problems I have are little problems with general use.

For example, in the package editor I have a whole bunch of modules. One for my character, one for my mud, one for my combat trigs, one for my curing.. etc etc. There are also the three standard modules.. English Direction, English Keypad, and Default. Unfortunately, those three also appear as tabs. I know why they are there, but I never actually want to look at them, and I want the tab space for packages I'm actually going to be working on.

How can I hide their tab representation? I can only figure out how to delete them. I don't care about their presence in the tree view, its just the tabs I want tog et rid of.

On the view menu of the package editor, uncheck "show default packages" and they're gone.
