Whenever I enter an area in my mud with descriptions that starts with a nonalphanumeric character, the automapper chokes. Any suggestions on how to get the automapper to capture these rooms?

The primary culprit is room descriptions that start with -, if that helps.

The best thing for you to do is develop you own trigger that matches this room description and using the #TAG command, mark it as the room description.
