It's the same as the option in zMUD. Look in the status bar when you hover the mouse over the edit box and you'll see more info. Basically, it controls how often CMUD refreshes the screen when scrolling. The default is to refresh the screen after 5 lines are received from the MUD. This optimizes scrolling time while still letting you see all of the lines. Setting it to 1 would give smoother, but slower scrolling. Setting it to zero would give very fast but very jerky scrolling.
Originally, CMUD didn't allow you to change this option because it's best to just keep it set at the default value. But there was a problem with some people importing their zMUD files where this option was set wrong, and it was hard to fix it in CMUD since CMUD didn't display the option for editing.
The bottom line is: Ignore it unless you really know what it does. If the Preferences ever get an "advanced" mode, then this option will certainly get moved to the advanced area. |
