Password and character selection not saving |
Ver: 1.26
WinXP Pro
While connecting to Simutronics Dragonrealms my account password and character selection (checked save password and always use this character) are not saving. I have to put the info in each time.
I have two characters within DR Prime using two different sessions. Both sessions are completely seperate. |

Works fine for me. It's really annoying, too, since I haven't yet made separate icons for my prime and plat characters.

I just tried to copy sessions to set them up with character names and passwords but it's not working for me either.

I found that for each new character you need to go to the edit session on the icon and delete both name and password and immediately save the entry.
Then click on the icon and enter your MUD and sign-on. At the end of the sign-in you should get the pop up window asking you to enter the trigger info for the login to start and a button to save.
After that the sign-in information should stick and be available the next time you start the mud with that character. |

Ron, I am having a hard time getting my head around what you've said. I think I will finish my coffee and reread it later. ;)
Strange thing is that for my thief everything works fine. Double click the icon I have for him and I get logged in without prompting. The barbarian is a completely different story. |

Heh. Here are the steps I would follow
1. On Sessions Screen right click icon of character you want to setup for auto-login
2. Click Edit Sesssion
3. Click Character Tab
4. Delete Name and Password
5. Immediately save changes which puts you back in the Sessions Screen
6. Click character to start login process to your mud
7. Enter your name and password when MUD asks for them.
8. Can't remember if the login process takes you to step 9 on the first MUD login or the second time you login.
9. You then should see the Pop window asking for login trigger info |

Thanks for the tip Ron but it did not work that way. I did get it to work however.
I had to go into the session icon and edit in the pass and character name that way. This worked in that I no longer have to input those two pieces of info again.
One semi-bad thing came out of it though. It corrupted my layout file for some reason. This was easily remedied.
Now if buttons only worked right so that I could have a compass. |
