When I create a new character under the screen it ALWAYS and never fails to, go to my old settings file and use that..every time I try to set up a new one it doesn't work. I try hitting save..save as..load..anything...none of these seem to work. Now, I finally created something that is a settings file and blank..but every time I put things into them..ie..triggers, aliases, macros, buttons, toolbars, and status windows, the damn thing doesn't save it, so everytime I re-log I have to re-do everything. I have tried importing settings from my old mud as well, and still, once I leave..it's like a magical fairy destroys them. It really is getting on my nerves, it's like the software is unable to create a new settings file and recognize the independence of one settings file from another..

You'll need to describe how exactly you're creating your new character.

Make sure your account is set as an administrator and not a user to make sure you have write access to wherever zMUD is trying to create the new settings files. Are you running zMUD on Vista?
