List index out of bounds (0)

I get this error message between the splashscreen and the window where the muds should be listet.
Should be, because they aren't, i only get a blank grey window at the right, a pretty picture at the left and the buttons for connect, offline, and so on at the top.

I'm running on Win XP SP1.

Not 100% certain, but this may be a corrupt settings file.

I'm receiving the same error "List index out of bounds (0)" and it's also in between the splash screen and where the muds should be listed. but the odd thing here is that this is a completely fresh install of zmud 7.21. I'm running windows XP Pro with SP2 on a 1250mhz AMD with 512mb ram. not sure if there's any other info i could offer but i'm getting frustrated with cMUD and want to use zmud until cMUD stabilizes a little more.

No, not settings file. Corrupt character database. I believe the file is chardb.mdb and that ZMud recreates it automatically, but just reinstall if you don't want to go deleting files I'm not sure of.

ok, a bit of an update on the issue. i deleted all of the Mud folders and it opened up fine. i then proceeded to log into one of Medievia mud to test everything out to see if it was working fine, and then when i try to close the window i get the error message

"Error saving settings to: C:\Program File\zMUD\Medievia\medievia_def.mud"

and then after that one another one pops up saying

"Access violation at address 00403320 in module 'Zmud.exe'. Read of address 00000044"

and then it just goes back to what it was like and doesn't close zmud. is zmud having problems writing mud information or something? i've tried re-installing and that hasn't worked. i tried renaming the chardb.db and that didn't work either. any other ideas?
