Zmud button not sending " marks |
Ok so im making buttons for various roleplay reasons to do actions. For instance :
Valkera draws her sword and screams, "DIE!"
I make a button, name it, and in the value, I use the phrase:
emote draws her sword and screams, "DIE!"
emote makes my mud look like your name does what you type. Now the issue, it all comes out fine IE: Valkera draws her sword and screams, DIE!
but the issue being, "DIE!" comes out like an action. When you put words in
Quotes "", it is suppose to come out like speech. It doesnt seem that zmud is recognizing my quotes in the button and it all comes out as a big emo with out the word phrase as a word instead of looking like part of the action.
Ive pasted the line into the mud manually and it comes out fine, just wont do it when I use the format in a button. Any help? |

Have you disabled the quote character, ~?
Click View -> Preferences -> Special Characters
The 'Quote Char' should be ~ and should be enabled. |

Nope, thats the way it should be by default, ~ is enabled. I even tried it disabled, and even with " as a special character, no good.
