Ability to turn off auto-copy

My wife has recently discovered (by accident) the auto-copy feature of the z & C Mud clients. I love the feature and keep forgetting to hit Ctrl+C in other applications to actually copy something.

However, she would like the ability to disable auto-copy in z/CMUD.

Do you mean when you select text on the terminal screen (window) of zMUD and, presumably, CMUD? I think that's the only place where auto-copy-clipboard happens. This is similar to some other terminal programs.

Why would anyone want this disabled? It seems to me that anytime you highlight text on the screen, you want to copy it to the clipboard. I'm resistant to adding options like this because I'm trying to simplify the interface, not make it more complicated. So I really don't want to add options that very few people are going to ever use, especially when I don't see any downside to the way that it currently works.

I completely agree... however... wife doesn't like it and is used to highlighting things for notes. If the wife isn't happy, ain't nobody happy ;)

Her reasoning is that she clicks on the zMud window to switch back and ends up accidentally selecting one or two characters in the screen and losing whatever it was she had in her clipboard.

There is the window avalable on the taskbar for clicking.
She could click on one of the toolbars in cmud instead of the main text body.
Not to mention (my personnal favorite) ALT + TAB.
