[1.22] So where'd the gauges go?

My MUD uses MXP to create gauges for hp and such. Now they no longer show up, though they did in earlier versions.

Which MUD is this, so we can see if it's just you that's having the problem, or if it's a problem with your MUD's MXP code?

Nothing happening here. It looked like it was going to create something (the screen flickered when I got to the point where MXP turned itself on) and I think some toolbars were displayed momentarily, but no gauges appeared.

*sigh* it works beautifully in zmud, and worked in earlier cmud versions. What flickered was probably the logo image. The gauges should have been on the toolbars, but like you said - they disappear.

It definitely looked like toolbars appearing and disappearing. It only happened at the end of character creation, when I actually got some health and mana for it to show.

Have you gone into your settings editor to see if there are any gauge items that have been created and just aren't being displayed for some reason? Are your toolbar preferences still set correctly to display the toolbar on the top of the window (or wherever you normally put them)? If I have time, I'll log into that MUD, but I can't promise anything...I'm trying to make only very minor changes now before the public release.

They're created, but something's gone a bit wrong with them. Here's the options tab of the button - no way to tell it where to go.

EDIT: Note also that they've got no icons.

OK, that helps. It looks like CMUD thinks these gauges are a substate of another button. Probably an uninitialized field when the gauge is corrected. That would explain the lack of the full Options page as well as the lack of icon. I'll see what I can find. Thanks for the additional info.

Cool, I found it. Actually turned out to be a pretty nasty problem. Notice in your picture that the gauges were not getting put into the System/MXP class folder? Turns out that setting the class folder for a new setting wasn't working properly. In addition, deleting the gauge and then recreating it would cause a crash.

I think all of this is fixed for 1.23.
