request for mapper |
What I have found be real useful, is if the mapper configuration program could have a setting where it would look for certain colors to match things. For example the mud i play in the room name is brown, the description is in blue, things in room are in green, and exits are in red. The mapper now is picking up the description and items in the room at the same time. An example of a room is bellow
The Main Courtyard of Medievia
Draped in darkest shade from Castle Medievia floating high above, the courtyard
is lighted to the brightness of a false dawn by magical glowing globes. A
cluster of globes illuminate a low wooden podium, upon which the Town Crier of
Medievia plies his trade. Mirroring this cluster of lights is a similar
arrangement to the north surrounding a stone archway and a large set of free-
standing stone stairs, while Avadale Road runs to the south, lit by more
natural means.
A young scribe is here, selling papers with the latest news of the realm.
The town crier of Medievia stands here, shouting out information.
He is surrounded by a shimmering, magical field.
(AVATAR)Viscountess Meka, Krehlk's Dirty lil' Secret, is here. (IT)
A lean riding horse is resting here. |

We have line-color triggers for this, if you didn't happen to know already. Used with #TAG, you can set up the conditions to map based on color.
Zugg will probably end up tearing apart the mapper in a few months when he updates it, though, so we'll try to remember this for him until he's ready to open up the feedback floodgates for mapper stuff. |
