[Suggestion] The Package Library and CMUD updates. |
I'm not sure if this was considered and rejected because of the time between patches after release, but I have a suggestion for the package library.
Packages in the library should remember which version of CMUD they were uploaded from. This means that people will know which version of CMUD was last used to update the addon - which would help if there were ever any changes that resulted in broken scripts (I know Zugg hates doing that, but it does happen on occasion). It also helps if someone's updates have run out and they don't have the latest CMUD - they'll know if if the package will work under their version (because it's possible that a version of a package from a later version of CMUD will use syntax or commands that aren't in an older CMUD).
Of course you could see that as one of the disadvantages of not buying updates, but that'd be mean :P |

And it would show a user that they need to upgrade to a new version of CMUD to get this particular package working, which can only be a good thing.

Yes, that's a good idea and something I'll try to add to one of the future versions.
