[1.15] Copy Paste and dropped characters |
When copy/pasting from the main window into the editor, It seems to consistently drop the last n characters of the selection, where n roughly equals to (# lines selected)-2.
It seems to be N characters starting from the end of a long line. If the bottom line is short, it drops the nonexisting ones or something.
Doesn't seem to make a difference whether I drag upwards to select or downwards to select. |

I can't reproduce this. Does this happen on all MUDs, or just one? To test this, I pressed ESC to close the Session window, and then entered this on the command line:
#LOOP 100 {#SHOW Loop: %i}
which displayed 100 lines on the screen. I then tried copy/pasting various lines and didn't see any problem.
So does the problem you describe only happen when using really long lines that have wrapped to a new line. Perhaps you can paste the text from the MUD window into your reply so that I can try the exact same text that you have. |

It only happens when you paste into the editor. Pasting into notepad works just fine. The lines have to be long as well. I'm not sure if it is zmud wrapping it or is there an actual line break on the mud side.
Original text:
The atomy swoops down to look at you, then flies away to avoid being hurt.
The atomy looks at your clothing curiously.
Andre wanders about the room listlessly, as if he can't figure out what to do
next.'
What I copied (and pasted into notepad):
The atomy swoops down to look at you, then flies away to avoid being hurt.
The atomy looks at your clothing curiously.
Andre wanders about the room listlessly, as if he can't figure out what to do
When pasted into the editor:
The atomy swoops down to look at you, then flies away to avoid being hurt.
The atomy looks at your clothing curiously.
Andre wanders about the room listlessly, as if he can't figure out what to d
(notice the dropped "o" at the end)
Pasting into notepad then copying from notepad to editor works fine though. |

Ahh, ok, it took me a few attempts to get the line breaks correct, but I finally reproduced the error. I have no idea what's causing the problem since the editor uses a 3rd party rich edit control, but I've added it to the bug list. Thanks for the detailed info on this one.
