My problem is different, the selection simply doesn't work! I chose %Documents% during the install, but when it's installed CMUD is still creating everything in the install directory. I thought it might be a DataDir key somewhere (even though I removed it) so I did an Add/Remove Programs uninstall to nuke the registry too, and then reinstalled. Still nothing.
Install directory: D:\CMUD
My Documents directory: D:\My Documents (I know it's not the standard, I moved it there manually and Windows seemed to update everything. Perhaps it's this?) |

Check your registry (under both local machine and current user) software\zuggsoft\cmud
My DataDir entry says %DOCUMENTS and my InstallDir says c:\program files\cmud\cmud.exe
Apparently under 1.17 it created bad registry entries which wouldn't have been corrected by 1.18/1.19 so that might be your problem if they're stuck at 1.17 settings. |

Okay, FINALLY managed to get this working by uninstalling, deleting the local machine registry entries that weren't deleted (quite annoying, I'd've thought an uninstall would get rid of them), and reinstalling. Phew.

I've modified the uninstaller for 1.20 to remove the keys in both hkey_local_machine and hkey_current_user.
