[1.13] sending blank lines to a mud

Is there any way besides #cr? Aka, can you do so with a setting change? Right now when I try to send a blank line to my mud it just doesn't go, I'm guessing it's a parsing thing, which is fine. Only time I really send them is letters, (which it takes out blank lines mid letter as well) and when I get an annoying long letter/post/etc and it gives me the "more" option which you have to send something
