[1.13] CMUD Lockup with Ctrl-F in Script Editor |
I can reliably produce a lockup in CMUD with the Script Editor. Go into an alias or something that has a script. Make sure the focus is in the script editing part. Press Ctrl-F. If the Find toolbar pops up, press Ctrl-F again so you get the Find dialog box. Sometimes this will pop up first anyway (the circumstances might depend on something). Now type anything in to the Find dialog and press Search. CMUD starts using 100% CPU and never returns. It has to be killed via Task Manager.

Havent been able to reproduce this myself.. when I tried it ended up searching for the text in the main mud window and continues as per normal.

Hmm, interesting. Perhaps it's worth pointing out then that I had connected offline and that therefore there may not have been anything in my main mud window. I have an alarm that fires on the 10 minute interval and might have echoed, something, or not. I'll do some more tests later.
Anyway, if I press Ctrl-F in the Script Editor, I wouldn't expect it to search the main mud window, but search within a script. |

True, and it does try to search both after multiple tries... I couldn't get a lock up either.

I'll add this to the bug list. It's a problem with the annoying DevExpress toolbar system where it is ignoring the shortcut in the current main menu from a toolbar edit control within that same window. So it ends up using the Ctrl-F shortcut in the main MUD form, which pops up the Find dialog for the main MUD window.
I haven't gotten this to hang anything either, but I'll see if I can fix the toolbar system so that edit controls in the toolbar respond to the correct menu shortcut keys. |
