Problems connecting to a Mud

Ok So I am attempting to connect to the mud sb.mudmagic.com on port 9999. But it wont allow me to. My friends can connect to it and i can connect to other muds, but for some reason i cant connect to this one. Anyone got any ideas? I was also for awhile being directed to a different mud that occupied port 6666.
