[1.07] passing an alias, w/alias, to another session window

I have tried this with two setups, just to be sure, both do the same

Its probably my syntax again.

1)Opening one session with two session windows, named differently (think we're calling them session windows)

and

2)Opening different two sessions at once

i have the following alias

#alias t1 {:test1:%0}
this is in a test package that is shared by all, in both setups i tried

#alias testalias {say blahblah}
this is also shared by all, in both setups

>t1 testalias
does nothing ('testalias' is sent to the correct session, the alias is not executed)

>:test1:testalias
works correctly (testalias is executed in session window test1)

>:*:testalias
works correctly

>#all {testalias}
works correctly

*cry* whats wrong with my alias?
something to do with the compiling of aliases?

You should _not_ be using CMUD for your regular play. CMUD at this stage of development is for people who love to tinker with its features and help Zugg nail down as many bugs as possible before public release.

And if you would have been reading these forums, you would have known that Zugg is not done with multiplay yet.

I NEVER said I was using CMUD for regular play. I am testing and tinkering with the features that I WILL use to multiplay.

Features like multiple session windows, the focus character and how multi session windows packages, modules, etc all work together.

And from reading these forums, it seemed like 1.06 was the version that "Fixed major bugs with using multiple sessions or multiple window"

I haven't read a post from Zugg saying he is, or is NOT done with multiplay, yet.

The First one if from you. This was just from scanning the subjects on the first page of this forum.

I really don't care if you read the forum or not, but I do get ticked off when people using beta software get annoyed when something doesn't work.

Could I have overreacted to what you wrote? Probably. Do I care? Not in the least. I'm just a customer like everybody else, but I do have a tendency of getting defensive when people don't do what Zugg asks of them when doing beta testing.

http://forums.zuggsoft.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=24417 was a seperate issue and completely resolved in 1.07 (my examples work now 1.07+ thanks zugg!)

I do not want to argue. It seems that the major multisession update was 1.06
Zugg now seems to be moving towards the final beta stages, less core work, and more features.
Everyone on the mud I play multiplays, just want to make sure that multiplay works in the ways intended.

I do not believe I have done anything Zugg said not to do.

Actually, makena is correct in a way:

That's true and it's time to let people start reporting *any* problem. As you can see, there have not been very many posts on 1.08. And that might led me to believe that CMUD is getting closer to public release status. At this time, *any* bug in the multi-session stuff should be reported. I'm done doing the rewrites of the base code, so it's time to get rid of all remaining bugs.
