zMUD wont start

I click to open it... the little rectangular box which shows the loading status comes up and then closes off (i think "main module" is the last thing on there before it closes. No error messages at all.

I suspect its the licctrl thing i read about on the forums but here's the problem...... it isnt there. I've clean installed zmud 3 times now and rebooted...... no trace of elicense on my computer at all. I check the services, neither runservice.exe or licctrl are listed. In the control panel the elicense thing isnt there either...

Now i figured zmud installed it when it installed itself....but since aparently it isnt... any ideas or alternative places to install the elicense stuff so it'll work? (and i looked on elicense's site...no links that i found to download)

The 7.21 version of zMUD doesn't use eLicense, so you don't need runservice.exe or licctl. You didn't mention what version of zMUD, so make sure it's 7.21 that you are using. You also didn't mention what version of Windows you are running. If you are running Windows XP, be sure you run Windows Update and install all of the latest patches.

If you are seeing the splash screen with the "main module" loading, then you are well past any of the copy protection stuff.
