Miscellaneous Questions |
Is there going to be an easy way to tell if something is enabled or disabled like zMUD(it's greyed out if disabled)? Would love something like a green circle or red circle to the left of the setting item, would be real easy to tell.
Also, is the test trigger option gone or something that will be back? What about IDs?
Haven't fully read through all the old threads, but I'm assuming that the new gauges aren't in yet and the current gauge option is just kind of like a placeholder right now. Is this correct?
The reference window is nice, but will there be a better way to go through the list of functions/commands then just scrolling? It's incredibly slow if moving from one command to another that is not close on the list. |

Yes, the settings editor is supposed to be graying out the disabled settings, but that seems to be a bug in the new version.
As mentioned in the "Whats missing in CMUD" article, the test trigger option will be replaced by a full trigger debugger window later in the beta. Gauges are also being added soon.
For the reference, it's made to work like in zMUD where you press F1 while the cursor is on a command or function in the command line or in the settings editor and the reference panel will automatically open to show the help for that command or function. |

Whats the best way to find out when Cmud allows us to make buttons the way we could in Zmud to create our own UI?
I'm really interested in making skins and the like for CMUD, whats a good way to know when that is avaialable?
I'm not asking for rushed priority, just for knowing what keywords to look for to know when that is suppose to be working or not. (for example having buttons on the left and right side and changing the direction they are in) |

You can already make buttons like you can in zMUD using the Settings Editor in CMUD. There are still some bugs regarding using the #BUTTON command on the command line, but all of the options are in the Settings Editor. It already allows buttons on the left, right, etc. In the regular Preferences there is a Buttons tab that allows you to set the location of the 4 different button bars.
For skins, you can already make your own using the tools over in the zApp area. Go to the zApp Download area using the menu at the top of the web site. Then you should see a subcategory for Themes. In that category is a ThemeEditor program. It's a 3rd party application that I do not support and there isn't any documentation available, so you are on your own to figure it out. It creates the *.KDSN theme files that CMUD can load. There is also a download program to convert a *.msstyles file to a smaller *.theme file that CMUD can load. Or, CMUD can load a *.msstyles file directly, so you can use any 3rd party program for creating/editing Microsoft theme files. I do not plan to offer anything else myself for theme editing or creation...there are plenty of programs to choose from to do this.
Finally, please create a NEW TOPIC whenever you are posting a new issue. Your post didn't have anything to do with the problem originally posted in this thread. |

Nifty, misc quetion thread. Is there a way to substitute string, #sub or #psub, including end of line characters in cmud? So that next line recieved from mud would then be appeneded to that substituted string? Kind of like #echop, but for substitutes.

What Zugg was saying was that this isn't a misc question thread. Please post in a new thread
