removing rooms, removing exits, and creating new zones |
I am working on a script to find my location in a maze, where I teleport to any random room in one of two maze maps. The way I would like to do this is to look at the room I land in, and set an existing dummy room (we'll call it 8985) to match those exits, changing those on the automapper also. My first problem is that I can't seem to empty the room exits from this room prior to setting new ones. This will ultimately be done at the end of the script to allow a fresh start the next time. So does anyone know how to remove the exits from a room? by looking at another post, I think there might be some bug trouble with this.... So, once I teleport to this room, remove the exits, and set the new exits, I would like to execute the first of the exits and keep mapping for 10 rooms each time executing the first exit, so long as it isn't the way i just came from... I'll figure that code out though... So when I'm done, ill have a path with 10 directions in it. At that point I will compare that variable to a pre-defined list of 200 paths and identify where I am. from there walk a certain path till i find an exit then im out... At this point again, I would like to remove all of the rooms I created along the way so that I can use the same 8985 starter room next time. So, help removing the rooms would be appreciated. Sporry for the rambling.
