Irritating command line 'feature'

Is there any way to turn off the 'feature' where the last command sent to the mud is left on the command line and highlighted? I find this 'feature' very irritating and I can't seem to find where to turn it off.

Hello!

Simply do Options->General->User Interface->Command line->Auto-clear command line

Yes, this 'feature' can be turned 'off' in the general 'options', under 'Auto-clear command line'

You might also try getting used to it first also. If you look at the actual keystrokes you use when you play, there is no difference between having the command line auto-clear or not. The first character you type for the second command will clear the previous command.

The advantage of the method used in CMUD (and also in zMUD) is that if you want to repeat the same command, you can just press the Enter key. That's really the only functional difference. The main problem I've seen is that some people just think it looks wierd to not clear the command line.

Hehe I find it annoying and always have to turn it off because our MUD has a 'push enter to continue' page thing so you get like the first 50 lines of a note, then have to push enter, which means if you don't auto-clear you have to push escape then enter and stuff :)

Though by the same token, some of my friends prefer it because they don't have to go up-arrow, enter, up-arrow, enter to spam a spell... hehe
