Erroneous Automapper Room Creation and no description |
When using the autompapper in certain parts of my mud, particularly in there are a large number of rooms that have the same name and description, where only the exits differ, the automapper keeps adding a down exit to the rooms. when I enter the room, it looks like this :
The Death Maze
[Exits: south west]
A featureless maze of vast proportions surrounds you. Seamless walls of
smooth, bone white stone meet a chill floor of black rock, while the ceiling
seems slightly rippled, looking more like deep, flat grey water, frozen upside
down overhead. Exits lead south and west.
Now, i suspect it is somehow seeing the D in death maze and creating a down exit from that... I have run the auto config and it still doesnt help. When I am in other rooms (not death maze) it does not add the down exit.
The second problem is that when I am in the deathmaze mapping, it doesn't pick up the room description. It leaves the room description blank in the room properties.
I've played with the "room exits" configuration in the settings and the only box that is checked is the room exits box, 0 for paragraph and 1 for exits. No other boxes are checked and there are no keywords in the list...
Any help would be appreciated. |

Pretty much the only simple thing I think of is to seperate the exits line from the description by use of a #SUBSTITUTE trigger. Other then that, or much more complex solutions you will just have to correct the times a wrong exit is detected.
