Settings not saving nor loading

Hey guys and gals,

I got a mud file full of schtuff. It was originally made for 6.16 but it just doesn't run right on my XP system so I upgraded to 6.62. Now I've tried many combo's for importing this but none of them work. If I go to settings>load>file it will load *some* stuff but not all. If I go to settings>import>settings I get nothing.

I've also deleted my mud file and allowing it to re-create a new one, I've delted the mud file and copied in the file with all the stuff, and I've tried numerous combos of installing 6.16 and upgrading or installing 6.62 and just loading.

Thanks for any help!

Try editing your character's properties in the Character Selection screen and in the Files tab selecting your existing settings file for the Primary Settings.

If that doesn't work, then you might try using Settings|Export... in 6.16 to export your settings to a text file and then import this file in 6.62 with Settings|Import|Script (ASCII)

Changing the primary option under the files tab didn't work. Worst thing is I can't load 6.16 under winXP. Ah well, guess I'll recreate everything.

Thanks!

Umm, why can't you run 6.16? Aside from the bugs, it ran fine on my copy.

I was having this same problem with version 7.21. Right-clicking on one of the buttons for a function in settings, such as triggers or macros, and then clicking on "customize..." should take you the window you need.

Does this help people?
