#T+/- versus #Class 0/1

Any difference in these? Please show example?

The #CLASS command only works for a class, whereas #Tą works for all types of settings.
#STATUS "This as a T- demo" {VijilanteDemo} {VijilanteStat}
#ALARM +10 {#T- VijilanteStat status;#SHOW I only turned off the status line. See %class("VijilanteDemo")}

Wow... i never tried #T- with any settings besides trigger. I'll have to look to see how I can make that work for me.

for better processing speed we know that we turn off triggers that arent needed.
But my question is, if you turn off a class with 10 triggers will it be the same as turning off all 10 triggers instead?
Because obviously turning off a class with one command as opposed to 10 commands for the triggers is better and quicker.
Just wondering cause I thought i heard something once about triggers turned off a certain way arent really off. Not sure if I am right, and not sure which is better.

I'm sure one of the wizards will correct me, but I believe the answer to your question is yes. It is the same. zMud takes a hiearchical approach so when you disable a class none of the trigger/aliases within it are evaluated for execuation. I currently use that approach to avoid overhead on heavy scripting like Item identify and banking.

You can specify what type to look for...use #T+ Aname class or #T+ Aname trigger
