Colour messing up automapping, help? |
I'm on a Dawn of Time mud. The mapper usually works fine on the other Dawn of Time muds I've played on, but this particular mud has an 'explosion in a paint factory' colour scheme, and this messes up the mapper.
The room titles have many colour changes, and this seems to completely throw the mapper. Sometimes it just detects the first letter of the room name, sometimes it's not detected at all.
Turning colour off in the mud lets the mapper work perfectly - but the room titles or discriptions won't be recognized when colour is turned back on.
Is there any way to just strip all colour codes (which could be ansi or #mxp depending on the mode of the mud) so the mapper just sees the plain text? I like my bright mud but I like the mapper to work too! |

I seem to recall a %stripansi() function, but as I've been beating my head against a wall trying to absorb PHP I'm not sure if it's part of zmud's scripting language or not.
