maze walking

There's an area on my mud that drops you randomly into a gigantic maze. I'd like to make some sort of script that walks me through it, and then stops when there are mobs. I was thinking along the lines of try east first, if east doesn't work, try south, if south doesn't work try west, etc. But really, any suggestions would be *great*.

The mob names are constant, and I want to be able to stop walking when I find one. Say, Mob1, Mob2, etc.

..And then after I kill stuff, be able to hit some key that'll resume wandering through the maze searching for more mobs. Rinse, repeat.

I could really really use the actual code to put in, since I can't code for beans. Any advise would be really really appreciated.

Thanks!

There are many examples for things like this where you can begin to understand how they work.

Have a search for something like 'bot hunting', 'bot combat', 'bot script' etc
