database help

Hello there, just came across zmud on a friends computer. Very nice!

Could someone please just do one example of how i would go about making a database thats adds every/any item that i ID in the mud? I've gone through these forums, found a good page where there was lots of code but it was a little too complicated for someone who hasn't done much programming in zmud. I can enter one database item at a a time but how would i catch the following;

You recite a scroll of identify which dissolves.

You feel informed:
This item is in PERFECT condition
Object 'ghostly gray funeral candle', Item type: LIGHT
Item will give you following abilities: DSight NoSummon
Can be worn on: TAKE
Item is: GLOW MAGIC !GOOD !NEUTRAL
Weight: 3, Value: 1500
Can affect you as :
Affects : Armor By -5
Affects : Mana By 20
Restricted Classes and Races :
Thief, Warrior, Paladin, Order Cleric, Barbarian, Monk

Just an example would be nice, something showing how to enter 2 of those values in a database would be excellent, like name and affect or something. I can figure out how to do the rest from there, hopefully :)

Thankyee

Check my database tutorial at http://www.silverbridge.org/~varmel/zmud/tutorials/zmuddb.htm

It explains how to handle multi-line identifications like the one in your post.
